Chinese New Year

It’s Chinese New Year. At least it’s the eve where my body is. But my heart and mind? They’re already at the beginning of the New Lunar Year.

Being away from home during a celebration that revolves around family is not exactly the best of feelings whichever way you look at it. But I guess we all have to spend time away at some point in our lives.

Right now my thoughts float to Australia, July, Easter and Bak Chor Mee. In that order. I haven’t been myself lately, not for the past couple of days at least…but hell, at least London was a good getaway.

No mistakes. Not like life. You just tango on.

Short, sharp and extremely rewarding. Been eating like a mad man and I desperately need to hit the gym and re-acquiant myself with the pain barrier. I bleed. Therefore I am. Tomorrow night the Singaporeans are going to do a steamboat dinner using rice-cookers…break out the Chinese goodies, I hope it’s a smashing affair.

It has to be.

Oh yes, got a haircut in London. A tad bit short…but gotta get a haircut for new year lah…
